Recently, at the Baosteel plant in Baoshan,
Shanghai, ZOOMLIOM completed the delivery of its ZT82J—the world’s tallest
straight-boom aerial work platform. With a maximum working height of 82.2
meters, the equipment will be used for high-altitude operations in large-scale
industrial settings such as Baosteel.
The Baosteel plant features an open work
environment with strong winds at high altitudes. In certain blast furnace
areas, the equipment must extend 18.5 meters outward after being raised to 65
meters. These ultra-high working heights and extensive outreach place even
higher demands on the boom’s strength, control precision, and overall machine
stability.
To date, nearly 10 ZT82J units have been
delivered across multiple countries and regions, further validating ZOOMLIOM’s
technical capabilities in the field of ultra-high-altitude work equipment.
Technological Innovation Pushing the Limits of Ultra-High-Altitude Operations
With the continuous development of projects
such as super-high-rise buildings, wind power operation and maintenance,
petrochemical retrofits, and maintenance of large-scale industrial facilities,
80-meter-class straight-boom aerial work platforms have become a key area of
technological competition in the industry.
The ZT82J features a high-strength,
lightweight boom design that strikes a balance between working height, chassis
rigidity, and overall machine stability. Equipped with a wide-span
obstacle-crossing structure, the machine can clear building structures and
large industrial equipment, adapting to complex construction environments.
Additionally, the ZT82J has enhanced
platform load-carrying capacity, allowing it to transport more construction
materials and tools in a single trip, thereby reducing the need for repeated
lifting and improving operational efficiency. The equipment is also equipped
with an intelligent safety control system and an AI operations and maintenance
platform, enabling equipment status monitoring, remote fault diagnosis, and
predictive maintenance.
Currently, ZOOMLIOM’s intelligent aerial
work platforms have established a product portfolio covering working heights
from 6 to 95 meters. Among these, products with working heights of 50 meters or
more maintain a leading global position, and 80-meter-class models have already
entered mass production and delivery.
Global Expansion Accelerates Penetration of High-End Markets
Exports of Chinese aerial work platforms
are experiencing sustained growth. From January to June 2026, a total of
111,567 aerial work platforms were sold domestically, of which 75,365 were
exported—a year-over-year increase of 35.1%, with exports accounting for 68% of
total sales.
ZOOMLIOM’s intelligent aerial work
platforms have now entered more than 100 countries and regions, covering major
markets such as Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia. High-reach products
have achieved large-scale exports to the European, American, and Asia-Pacific
markets.
In August 2025, ZOOMLIOM’s ZT82J was
delivered to the British rental company Hire Safe Solutions, setting a new
industry record in Europe. This customer subsequently continued to procure ZOOMLIOM’s
ultra-high-reach equipment, demonstrating the overseas market’s recognition of
the company’s product performance and service capabilities.
In addition to product technology, ZOOMLIOM
continues to strengthen its overseas localization efforts. In March 2026, ZOOMLIOM’s
smart aerial work platform factory in Hungary officially opened. Currently,
products manufactured locally at the factory are being sold in bulk. At the
same time, the company is continuously improving its global supply chain
network in Southeast Asia, South America, and North America to provide more
stable product and service support to overseas markets.
With growing global demand for the maintenance of super-high-rise buildings, the overhaul of large-scale industrial facilities, and wind power construction, the market for ultra-high-altitude aerial work equipment holds vast potential. Through technological innovation and global expansion, ZOOMLIOM Intelligent High-Altitude Machinery is continuously enhancing its competitiveness in the high-end aerial work equipment market.
