Recently, during critical maintenance tasks
at a large wind farm in Morocco, three ZOOMLION cranes—the “ultra-heavy-duty iron
triangle”—made a powerful appearance. This formidable lineup—comprising the
ZCC9800W 800-ton crawler crane, ZCC17000 1250-ton crawler crane, and
ZAT9000V863G 900-ton all-terrain crane—successfully completed maintenance
operations on the wind turbine's core components with zero failures, high
safety standards, and exceptional efficiency, earning high praise from the
project owner.
These ZOOMLION machines have been
progressively delivered to Morocco over the past two years, each setting new
local records for the heaviest-lift crawler and all-terrain cranes. The
collaborative operation of these three record-breaking units further demonstrates
the leading capabilities of China's high-end equipment.
During operations, the ZCC17000 handled the
integrated hoisting of the wind turbine's transmission system and hub, while
the ZCC9800W provided full-process auxiliary lifting. The ZAT9000V863G
leveraged its exceptional maneuverability and precise control to efficiently
complete critical maintenance tasks on the 2.3MW wind turbine. The three cranes
worked in perfect coordination and synchronization, significantly enhancing overall operational efficiency.
Tailored for North Africa's arid, windy,
and complex terrain, ZOOMLION implemented multiple customized optimizations for
this equipment batch. These included reinforced wind-load structures,
high-temperature adaptability configurations, and specialized crawler systems.
Verified results show an approximately 15% increase in overall operational
efficiency, effectively reducing wind farm downtime. The project manager
remarked: “ZOOMLION's equipment surpassed expectations in professional adaptability
and intelligent capabilities, setting a new benchmark for large wind turbine
maintenance.”
